Lions

Sighted on: 02.February.2026

Early this morning, we heard a lioness roaring from the western side of the reserve and immediately proceeded towards the airstrip, where we located her. The lioness was calling continuously as she moved northwards.

Shortly thereafter, she entered a dense thicket and reunited with her cubs, estimated to be approximately three to four months old. The reunion was observed through vocal contact, with the lioness responding to the cubs using low grunts.

This sighting highlights active lion movement and successful cub rearing within the reserve during the week.
