Elephant

The highlight of the week was the elephants, rare and welcome visitors to the Kalahari, made even more striking against the lushness of the landscape.
Encountering this giant in a sea of green was a moment of pure wonder. Calm, assured and deeply present, it moved with an unhurried confidence, using its trunk with remarkable dexterity to feed, to feel and to explore its surroundings.
Our guests were fascinated to learn that the elephant was left-handed, a trait revealed by the distinctive wear on its tusks, offering a quiet insight into its individuality and long life lived in the wild.
