This week, the Kalahari offered a powerful reminder that, despite the comforts of civilisation, we remain firmly in the heart of the wild. As our guests prepared to depart for Maun on their air charter, a lioness emerged at the airstrip, calmly observing the scene. She lingered for a moment, quietly assessing her surroundings, while the guests left with this unforgettable encounter etched in their memories.

The decision to capture the moment in black and white was a conscious one; monochrome evokes a timeless quality that beautifully conveys the raw, untamed spirit of the wild.
