Lioness protecting a cub from an unknown male

Any season is a good time for this ground-dweller — its remarkable adaptation to the Kalahari biome is a testament to its resilience and thriving survival. The Red-crested Korhaan, one of the most common resident birds here, often puts on a spectacular display: launching into the air and showing off its striking plumage in flight. Guests loved every moment of spotting this bird again and again — and when the Red-crested Korhaan took to the air, it became a true 'wow' moment on the drive!
