Greater Kudu

Sighted on: 05.June.2025

Lioness protecting a cub from an unknown male

In the heart of the Kalahari, it’s almost expected to spot the sharply spiralled horns of a Greater Kudu weaving through the thickets. These elegant antelopes are perfectly adapted to the arid, unforgiving landscape and are found here in healthy numbers.

Today brought a true ‘wow’ moment for our guests, as we encountered a strong, dominant male — a striking example of both power and grace. His magnificent horns rose proudly, like emblems of the wild, while his calm yet commanding presence held us all in awe. The females nearby, with their beautifully marked stripes, added to the magic of the sighting.

Such moments are always special, but this one will stay with them for a long time.
