Leopard
Sighted on: 27.May.2025
The Kalahari sun was dipping below the horizon as we observed a journey of giraffes feeding on the false thorn acacia. We approached them at a moderate speed. Zizie and his tracker, Joey, had notified us of the sighting.
After spending about half an hour with the giraffes, they decided to continue with their drive. Ten minutes later, a voice crackled over the radio — it was Zizie again, calling to inform us of a leopard sighting not far from where we had seen the giraffes.
We quickly made our way there, hoping to catch a glimpse. To our delight, we found the leopard resting in the thick cover of a trumpet thorn. It gazed at us for a few moments before standing up and disappearing silently into the bush.
