Groundscraper thrush
Sighted on: 11.November.2025

Timing and teamwork once again proved to be the winning formula this week. The remarkable coordination between tracker and guide ensured that not a moment or movement went unnoticed, even during the night drives. Their synergy and keen instincts continue to deliver some of the most rewarding wildlife encounters for our guests.
During this evening’s game drive, as we made our way back towards camp, a subtle flicker of movement drew the team’s attention. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a Groundscraper Thrush, calmly settled on its nest, perfectly camouflaged among the dry leaves and twigs.
It was a gentle yet memorable finale to an exciting drive, a reminder that not all special sightings involve predators or dramatic hunts. Sometimes, it’s the quiet moments of nesting and nurturing that leave the deepest impression on our guests.
