Lioness
Sighted on: 25.October.2023
We were fortunate to see two lionesses as they came to quench their thirst at one of our waterholes. Late mornings, just before it starts getting really hot, is when lions usually come in for a drink, and their presence has an electrifying effect. Other species make way for the lions, generally leaving them in sole possession of the waterhole. Lions are the second largest wild cat, second only to the tiger; however, they are the only big cats that live in groups.
