Our guests got to see a pride of lions during their evening game drive. Did you know that lions have a unique eye physiology? They are the only animals known to possess a special chemical called autofluorescence in the rod cells of their eyes, allowing them to produce their own light. This gives lions exceptional night vision and enables them to maintain binocular and color vision even in darkness, making them highly effective hunters at night. No other animal has been discovered with this extraordinary capability.
